Something more...

Joining in on Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus, a writing meme that she's been doing for many, many weeks....it's lots of fun if you like to write.  Anyone can join in.

You can find Jenny at her blog off on my tangent, there you can read what the other writers have contributed.  Jenny gives us a PROMPT (which is in BOLD ITALICS below) and this week she gave us 100 words to add to it to make a small "story".

SOMETHING MORE....

Isn’t it just like some people to not be grateful?

For what they have,

for what they are.

For where they’ve been,

for what they’ve done.

Always wishing for something more,

something better.

You could have had it all, they whine to themselves.

Never seeming to be able to see what the rest of the us see,

that they already do have all of "it",

and more.

  1. So true! But... is wanting 'more' what motivates most of us as we struggle along the path of life? If we started out content... would we pursue challenges put in our way?

  2. Good point!!! I must say my centus is more in reference to those who are not ever content, no matter how "good they got it".. I know many, and they never cease to amaze me, the never-ending season of discontent, a horrible place to be. Thanks for your comment!!

  3. oh so true! I've known so many people who DO have it all and don't even know it so they squander it away while wishing for something more. Nicely done!

  5. Yep, it's true most people are never satisfied no matter how much they have.

  6. Yes, some never are satisfied. Look at the Hollywood set for example.

  7. You are right. Is it that grass is greener on the other side thing maybe?

  8. Koby, I love the rhythm of this writing.

    And the message...

    So very, very, very true.

    Really well done!

    Thanks for sharing this.

Some bloggers write "gimme me some love".... as far as I'm concerned, I'd love some love, but I'd even take some hate, some expressions of your disgust, your outrage, mild irritation, sheer joy...whatever, I can take it, honestly I can. Just please (please) leave a comment or two and let me know what you think. Merci.
